AIR RIFLE REGULATOR
Although it’s been a long time dealing with air rifles. Some of us might know about the air rifle regulator and some of us might not. Let’s take a look at my little scribble about regulator. I hope it will increase our knowledge.
Do you know what is air rifle regulator?. This regulator is not just the common regulator. After a long time dealing with various types of air rifles. Especially imported air rifles. It turn out that there are some differences between imported air rifle and standard air rifles. The biggest differences is in the wind power transfer system. This component is called regulator.
Most of imported PCP air rifles use regulator to regulate the air pressure that will be used in shooting. Air rifle regulator can be set according to the needs and energy that you want to use. The main function of the air rifle regulator is as a compressive air stabilizer so that the accuracy can be the same even though the pressure in the tube is different. With the existence of an air rifle regulator. It is easier for the user to get maximum power and accurate accuracy compared to an air rifle without regulator.
An examples of air rifle without regulator. When the air rifle is filled with 3000 PSI compressed air. The firepower is really strong. However, if it has been used for dozens of times to shoot and the compressed air pressure decrease into 1500 PSI the power and shot accuracy are getting weak. It is very detrimental to the user because of the accuracy and firepower is unstable and will disrupt the concentration when aiming at the target.
In conclusion, with air rifle regulator when our air rifle is set with a pressure of 100 PSI / shot. The wind pressure that exits in each shot will be 100 PSI even though the air rifle has a pressure capacity of 3000 PSI or 2000 PSI of wind pressure will come out the same. That’s is all from me. Hopefully this scribble is useful for us. Thank you.
